The StartUp Croydon team was proud to receive an award from the National Enterprise Network this November for “Enterprise Support Organisation of the Year 2016”. In addition, we were highly commended as “Enterprise Communicator of the Year 2016”, in recognition of our high impact and successful rebranding.

The main award was presented not only with regard to our rebrand, but also in recognition of our work with key stakeholders and building strong and lasting relationships with NatWest and RBS that has seen the creation of a bespoke plan of support for Croydon based start-ups and small businesses.  In addition to which, we have been involved with projects that have secured our role as Community Champions:

  • Sponsoring the Best New Business at the Croydon Business Excellence Awards
  • Supporting a new initiative called “Be The Change” that was launched by LoveCroydonJobs and Humanutopia for year 9 students who are, for one reason or another, disengaged with school and lack confidence in their own abilities.
  • Preparing for a project that will be launching in 2017 that is aimed at assisting unemployed or economically inactive (SEEK).

We will, as we have over the past 33 years, continue to assist the business community with our monthly three days courses, mentoring and one to one advice as well as providing subsidised business units.
